I LOVE cycling. I LOVE Belgian Cyclists. I LOVE it even more if Belgian Cyclists win. And I LOVE Cyclists like Gilbert that really fight and work for their win and that show such joy while being on the bike.
Watching cycling is my motivation to get in shape and to lose the weight I need to.
There’s no better way of saying this, but cycling rocks!

He’s still my favorite cyclist in the Peleton, and my first real favorite cyclists. The charisma, the looks, the fighting spirit, he’s got it all! I’m really hoping he’ll pull through and get some nice windows in Tour of Polen and the Vuelta and who knows in the Worlds!
I’m excited about the Quickstep merger with Omega Pharma! More money for my favorite team is always a good thing! Hopefully they attract some good cyclists this year because I was slightly disappointed the past year or 2!
Here at BDIPC HQ, we’re not averse to admitting our mistakes. And sweet baby Jesus, did we ever make a massive mistake last week. You see, as we were in the throes of TdF withdrawal we said, “Watching the Tour de Wallonie is like banging someone just to get over the breakup.” Apparently we’ve forgotten that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone. So when we tuned into San Sebastián on Saturday, we were horrified to see that we’d missed five days’ worth of quality rebounding with one Greg Van Avermaet, who won Wallonie and then quickly followed that up with a third-place finish at San Sebastián.
Greg, we’re not certain that we’re completely over the Tour de France. In fact, we’re pretty sure that the only thing that’s going to make us forget all about it is five days worth of the Tour de Greg. Because we know you can give us exactly what we need: just the right kind of long, pleasantly punishing rides. And really, that’s all we need: five days of hardcore, mind-erasing, headboard-breaking Van Avermaet-ing. So now you know how we feel, Greg. Are you down to rebound with us?
I think he’s one of the most attractive cyclists out there. And I even love the way he looks in his BMC kit with a nice tan. I like his racing style too, always giving it everything he’s got. Hopefully the rest of his season goes well!

The post-race crits continue on and so does Philippe Gilbert!

I love Philippe Gilbert winning pictures! He just keeps going and going and he really brings some class to the National Belgian jersey!
Too bad the picture is this small. I remember seeing this picture in the paper or on a website or some video footage of it on the Belgian news whenever it first came out a year ago? Or maybe it was longer. But what I remember is that it made me laugh, a lot! I think it’s great seeing how much fun they have on the bike during training! Plus, it is nice to look at too :P
So today Thor Hushovd announced he will be moving to BMC. It makes me wonder even more if Gilbert has/will sign with BMC. I love how they are such good friends and train together and support each other! When you see them together they are always smiling! I think seeing them on the same team would be great and I think they both are willing to work for each other when it comes to winning races!
Either way, I have always been a fan of Hushovd and he looks good (except when he’s racing against Tom Boonen). And of course who cannot love Gilbert? He’s got class and seems like a really nice guy (most of the time).
Anyway, I am interested to see how this plays out! Even if they do not ride together, it’s a great excuse to post these pictures of the two of them on Tumblr!

I loved his expression when he came back on the podium for a 2nd and 3rd time! As if he’s saying: ‘What do you know! I’m on the podium again! Surprise!’

Agreed!

haha!!
I can understand this to be frustrating for other cyclists, but I just LOVE it! He almost always delivers and its such joy to see him race!
Look at the suffering! Greg van Avermaet in the picture along with Gilbert and Vanendert setting the pace and way left Nick Nuyens!
